Grad Film Idea/outline

This is towards my grad idea:

My intention for my project is to explore and excel in my medians and using my 2D and 3D skills then combining it into one final piece. I have a distinct style I aim for and being able to succeed and keep with it would be my goal. I might be going the distance and getting into something too ambitious but I think I have the will to strive to this. I’m not quite sure on a story to go with it but I want it to have a strong connection to me of some sorts, whether it’s something personal or psychological. I want to go towards steam punk/ post-apocalyptic scenery and the technique I want to use is the “concept art” style on a 3D model. The “concept art” style is usually mistaken for cell shading. It is a distinct style that applies a constant bold “drawn” outline around the character or environment making it look very appealing and powerful imagery. The way I found out about it is by a game called “Borderlands”. I love that it brings 2D and 3D together into one form of style….
I want my film to be seen and appreciated by anyone that can take it to heart and love the animation as a form of stylized art, rather than just “a film a graduated student did”, I want it to be something more.
